The Organisation of CAO (FOIS) was created in 1994 for implementation of Freight Operation Information System (FOIS) on Indian Railways. CAO/FOIS works under administrative control of GM, Northern Railway and exercises the powers of GM on matters concerning establishment, works estimates, contracts and other miscellaneous matters similar to CAO/Construction. Two Chief Project Managers and One FA&CAO in SAG, Seven officers in JA grade including five officers belonging to Traffic, one to Signal and Telecom, assist CAO/FOIS. In addition, on all zonal Railways, field units for implementation of FOIS project exist under COMs of the Zonal Railways. The field units on the Railways consist of Dy COM (FOIS), Dy CNM/SNM belonging to S&T Department and other supervisory staff drawn from Traffic and S&T Departments. All the posts in FOIS Organisation are work-charged. At present Freight Operations Information System (FOIS) Central Organisation is headed by Sh. Pramod Uniyal, Chief Administrative Officer. He is being assisted by two Chief Project Managers - Sh. Shailendra Jha, CPM/IT & Sh. Ram Pyare, CPM/FOIS and one FA&CAO - Sh. K. S. Sunila, FA&CAO. Various IT projects under CAO/FOIS are FOIS (Freight Operations Information System) - Sh. Dharmendra Kumar, Dy. CPM/TMS, Sh. A. K. Wahi, Dy. CPM/TMS, Sh. M. S. Meena, Dy. CPM/Rates, Sh. Manoj Sharma, Dy. CPM/ICMS & Dy. CPM/Infrastructure, CMS (Crew Management System) & COA (Computerised Office Application) - Sh. A. K. Singh, Dy. CPM/CMS, who is being assisted by Sh. Y. K. Tyagi, SPM/IT. Sh. K. S. Sunila, FA&CAO is being assisted by Sh. G. M. Gautam, Sr. AFA and Sh. K. D. Chakraborty, AFA. All S&T matters are being taken care by Sh. A. K. Sagar, Dy. CSTE, who is being assisted by Sh. G. A. Massey, SSE. Two Sr. Scale officers are looking after Stores & Personnel departments. Sh. Hira Lal, SMM & Sh. Yudhisthir Suryan, SPO. One Jr. Scale officer Smt. Jyoti Batheja, ATM/Web is looking after Web & other MIS related issues. |
