The Organisation of CAO (FOIS)
was created in 1994 for implementation of Freight Operation Information
System (FOIS) on Indian Railways. CAO/FOIS works under administrative control
of GM, Northern Railway and exercises the powers of GM on matters concerning
establishment, works estimates, contracts and other miscellaneous matters
similar to CAO/Construction. In addition, on all zonal Railways, field units for
implementation of FOIS project exist under COMs of
the Zonal Railways. The field units on the Railways consist of Dy COM (FOIS), Dy CNM/SNM
belonging to S&T Department and other supervisory staff drawn from
Traffic and S&T Departments. All the posts in FOIS Organisation
are work-charged. At present Freight Operations Information System (FOIS)
Central Organisation is headed by Sh. Pramod Uniyal, CAO. He is being assisted by three Chief
Project Managers - Sh. Shailendra Jha, CPM/IT
& Sh. Juel Kujur,CPM/FOIS,& Vijay Kumar, CPM/DC and two FA&CAO - Sh. Tanveer Ahmed,FA&CAO-II -Manisha Sharma. Various IT projects under CAO/FOIS are FOIS (Freight Operations Information System) (dealt by Sh. Shailendra Sharma,
Dy. CPM/TMS, Sh.
A. K. Wahi, Dy.
CPM/TMS-II, Sh. Shelly
Srivatstav, Dy. CPM/TMS-I

by Sh. Narsingh Das, Dy. CPM/ICMS) CMS (Crew Management System) - (dealt by Sh.M.M. Sharma , Dy.CPM/CMS,
who is being assisted by Sh. Y. K. Tyagi, SPM/IT) COA
(Control Office Application) - (dealt by Sh.
Sanjay Mishra, Dy.
CPM/COA). Sh. Tanveer Ahmed, FA&CAO is being assisted
by Sh. G. M. Gautam,
Dy FA&COA/FOIS. All S&T matters are being taken care by Sh. A. K. Tripathi, Dy. CSTE-
DC(Data Center) Two Sr. Scale officers are looking after Stores &
Personnel departments. Sh. Hira Lal, SMM & Sh. Yudhisthir Suryan, SPO. One Jr. Scale officer Smt. Jyoti Batheja, ATM/Web is looking after Web & other MIS related issues. |
