Sub: Schedule for VSAT installation
Ref : Your letter no. CAO/FOIS/V-SAT/Corr./06 dated 14.06.2006
The date wise schedule for installation of VSAT at 64 locations is attached herewith (Annexure-1). As of now 64 sites have been planned by deputing 20 teams of Vendor. The dates mentioned in the schedule may vary depending upon completion of work at previous site by the same team. If any change on any account other than this takes place, same will be informed 3 to 4 days in advance.
You are requested to please arrange to ensure following:
All concerned Railway officials are advised about this program.
Permissions are obtained for working inside private sidings in advance so that the work does not suffer on this account.
One telecom supervisor and one traffic supervisor of concerned Railway is deputed to site of work as per the program given to arrange for logistic arrangements required at site, testing of site and commissioning of Application.
Instructions may also be communicated to above supervisors to sign ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) document carried by Vendor in acknowledgement of completion of all work and working of application. Incidentally this is also required for obtaining license for working this site from DOT.
The contact numbers of Railway officials in the program has been shown based on the information available with this office. Modification if any may please be advised to this office as well as to Vendor’s officials shown against each site. This will help in better coordination at field level.
The schedule for remaining 7 sites out of 71 sites where material is sent will be advised based on progress made at 64 locations as Vendors’ team deployment will depend on this.
The dispatch of material at remaining 78 sites requires Road Permits. The installation schedule for these sites will be advised as per availability of road permits.
